Kay-lo, McKai, Huey & Dasher

About us
We are Lieuwe and Jennifer and we live in Kolham, a small place close to the city of Groningen in the North part of the Netherlands. We have three male tollers, Kay-lo, McKai and Huey.

We got our first toller Kay-lo in 2008. He is also the reason why we fell in love with this breed so deeply.  Kay-lo really is an easy going work-a-holic and his passion to work is amazing to see. His looks, his temperament and his way of doing things completly stole our hearts.

When Kay-lo was 2,5 years old we brought home our second toller McKai. Kay-lo showed McKai all the things there is to know in the world of being a dog in our household. McKai has also grown up into an amazing working dog.

Lieuwe has been training Kay-lo and Jennifer has been training McKai. Both dogs are active gundogs in competitions but also in the field. It's an amazing experience to be able to work with dogs who love to work with and for you.
When Kay-lo was 8 years old we welcomed  our third Toller, Huey, to our pack. Although Kay-lo was still working amazing in the field, he didn't enjoy the competitions anymore and we knew that in a couple of years his body would experience some difficulties in the field due to the tough areas he has to work in. Therefore, we thought it would be the best time to train Huey so he could learn from Kay-lo and take over from him when things would get to heavy for our oldest friend.
In 2020 we imported a son of Huey from Finland. His name is Dasher and just like the other boys we will be training/working with him as well.

At this moment all dogs are still working actively as a gun dog in the field (except Dasher since he is still a puppy). Besides hunting, we also do some other dog sports. Kay-lo also does blood tracking, McKai also does, nosework and canicross (we have also done agility when he was younger) and Huey also does Nosework.

Because of our dogs we have met some amazing people along the way. Some of them we can call our friend, which is an amazing bonus of having a dog. We also became more experienced in different disciplines. We started showing our dogs at dog shows and started competing in countries outside the Netherlands (shows, tolling tests and blood tracking).

We believe that our dogs have many fine qualities which would be very beneficial and valueble to pass on to the next generation. This is why we have done all the possible
health tests to make them available as a stud dog. We try to do our best to make the best possible combinations to improve this breed, by looking at the breed standard, the looks, health and character of all the dogs involved.

On our website you can find a lot of information about our dogs and our activities. Please contact us if you would like to know more about our boys.
